How the KONAVI Pullet Feeder Works

The KONAVI Pullet Feeder is designed to provide accessible feeding from the first day of placement through the pullet rearing period.

Early Chick Feeding

During the first days of placement, feeder pans rest on the floor with the flood setting activated. This provides a higher feed level to attract young chicks and encourage feeding directly from the pan.

Transition to Grow-Out Feeding

Around day 10, depending on flock development and management practices, the feeder line can be raised slightly to deactivate the floor-operated flood setting. Producers can then select from three grow-out settings.

Indexed Feed Distribution

When incorporated into an indexed feeding system, feed is distributed across the feeder line to help ensure feed availability throughout the poultry house at the beginning of feeding.

Controlled Feeding Access

The angled cone, anti-rake fins and grill-less design encourage birds to feed from outside the pan, reducing the opportunity for scratching, contamination and feed loss.
