Weeden Sprinkler Systems®

The Weeden Sprinkler System® is designed to help poultry producers manage heat stress, reduce cooling water usage, promote bird activity and control dust. The system operates at short, pre-set intervals, delivering gentle water droplets that help birds release captured heat and encourage movement toward feed and water.

Reduce Water Usage During Heat Stress

The Weeden system provides a controlled approach to poultry-house cooling and can reduce cooling water usage by over 50% when combined with cool cells or when replacing fogging or misting systems.

It is designed to help:

  • Reduce mortality and backing off of feed
  • Maintain lower humidity for longer
  • Provide cooling during heat stress
  • Improve water sustainability

Promote Bird Activity

The controlled sprinkling cycle encourages birds to stand, release captured heat and move toward feeders and drinkers. This creates cyclical eating and drinking patterns that can help enhance feed conversion while exercising muscles and joints.

Help Control Poultry-House Dust

The Weeden Sprinkler System® can also be used for dust control. The manufacturer cites research showing over 50% dust reduction, while also identifying benefits for the health of birds and farm workers and reduced spread of dust-carried pathogens.

Complete System Components

The Weeden system includes components such as the WSS-6 controller, sprinkler drops, manifold with bypass and water meter with water alarm. An optional injector/medicator is available for cleaning or introducing other products.

A Smarter Approach to Poultry Cooling

The Weeden Sprinkler System® combines cooling, water conservation, bird activity promotion and dust control in one complete poultry-house system.

Poultry Sprinkler Systems

County Line Equipment supplies Weeden Sprinkler Systems designed to support cooling, dust control and bird activity in poultry houses. The low-pressure sprinkler system uses sprinkler lines, spinner heads, manifolds, valves, regulators and controllers to distribute water throughout the barn.

Originally developed for poultry production, the Weeden Sprinkler System has been used for cooling during periods of heat stress, dust control and promoting bird activity. Research has evaluated the system in commercial broiler houses and its use alongside other cooling methods.
